Doing Our Part

Wednesday 8th October 0

Over the past few years cell phone crime has become more common place.  In the USA alone, one cell phone is stolen every 4.2 seconds and over half of all street crime now involves cell phone theft in the UK.

Even though when a phone has been reported stolen and it has been blacklisted by all networks in your country, it can still work in foreign countries.

According to our own findings we are seeing a lot of cell phones reported lost or stolen in the UK or USA and being unlocked to work in other foreign countries.

We are starting a process of checking orders to confirm the handset hasn’t been reported stolen using CheckMEND. Â UniquePhones will not process orders for handsets that have been blacklisted.

If you have had your phone stolen, you’ll need to report it stolen to your network carrier or be proactive and store all your handset details at immobilize. Â

If you have any questions about this new feature, please contact Jeff Blake.
